      That's American HP don't forget.
So deduct a good 10% - 20% for real numbers.

Still a shitload though, he must be running huge revs.

Quite sensible retaining the rear wheel covers of the factory Insight for drag saving purposes.

That's weight shifted horsepower not a dyno figure

His tacho only goes to 10k but it's shift lighted so who knows it may be a ruse(sp)

If it is the capacity I think it is he won't be turning it that hard

That's 100% wrong Bill. Moroso hp are the most real ones there are. That would equate to 500 dynojets probably.

I love this car. And I love the way he has chosen a path that suits him and has gone and shoved it completely up the arse of all the big $$$ K engines.

F22 sohc was still a 16 valve motor, correct?

He was pretty proud of running a 9 on gasoline but I'm guessing he's on alcohol by now. EDIT: He runs Torco Race Gas

JAMPAC: Close on the weight guess.....1698lbs

                        SSSGTR: Yep 16 valve motor

Grumpy: I dunno about this year but last time I visited Skunk (2004) their budget for the year was ~$400k US.

As much as I like carbs etc, I'm fucked if I'd run them in his shoes.

That said I think he's prioritised. If it only has to run hard in a certain rpm band and he knows carbs, he'll get it. Wouldn't be as nice (all other variables of course not suited but you know what I mean) for circuit racing, but you'd get away for dragging. I'll bet he's done a shitload of savvy weight shifting and chassis stuff. The biggest thing is how hard it launches imho, he's _really_ on top of that for fwd.

If he _is_ going capacity - not that I know shitloads about hondas, but it probably realistically means it's not topping 9500rpm, possibly not even 9000, which sounds counter intuitive for a dragger, but they already have a very average rod:stroke, and the capacity would have to come as much from stroke if not more so as the bores can't go that far, unless he's making some custom sleeve or even a welded block??

So what are the rules for all-motor drag racing?

Bisi is actually a scientist that specialises in fluid/air dynamics. He likes the atomisation that carbs afford.

Alex: basically anything goes as long as no forced induction/Nos and minimum weights (which seem to vary depending on which sanctioning body is running the event)

Surely he'd be able to match it with the injectors outside trumpets or something? Then again perhaps not due to space limitations
