That's bad.
That kind of variation just can't happen, so I quizzed the Flight Engineer to about an alternate way ot determining how much fuel we had, and using that method the consumption was far more even. So problem solved.
My point being that you can't always trust the clocks in the plane.
The one in the Commodore may have been under-reading.
The one in the Prius may have been over-reading.
Ya just don't know until you perform a series of checks.
