how can it have a November on-sale date if it's a 2008 model?
    That means it's a 2007 model.
    Stupid Toyota.

I think he's talking about the 70s. They've been around for 3-4 months at least.

I think the 70 series has been around for 6 months or so...its a single turbo with I think 170kw instead of 210 (around that) of the 200 series twin turbo that isnt here yet...I think there is 80 or 100nm more too.

toyota is certainly getting its money worth from the body tooling on the cruisers. ute and troopy about 20 years. same with the wagon. its the old prado body from the early 90s.

Now now Forg. You know exactly how it works.

EG. The new Impreza is called the 2008 model in the USA and most likely MY2008 here in Australia.

Pretty pissweak that a TD 4.5L V8 makes only 430Nm in this day and age. Most of the 2.5-3L TD I4s are nearly making that in the Jap Utes. (Rodeo, Ranger/BT50, Navara etc)

650Nm is better, but expect a cost of around $90k for a Landcruiser with that engine.

maybe they were going for ultra reliability i the 76 series
