for the amount of people that are going nutsley for these Lanc0rs I cant belive why more people on here dont own evo 6's and 7's

a good condition 6 (like mine) can be had for about 25K and a 7 closer to 30...

      imports put people off?

      im a little confused...

just like the new WRX the new lancer looks like 2 fags came in each others asses and then pood onto a plate and said "look a new lancer/wrx"

and this thing looks no better

        Imports are hard to lease.

Otherwise I would have an EVO 8 MR.

because a new Ralliart will most likely have Mitsu's standard 5/10 warranty

the ralliart colts are actually worth a drive, wouldn't own one because of the looks (and I'd want a little more then a small hatch) but you get a very usable little car that handles like a champ for the money. Torque all over the place to thanks to that tiny little turbo.
I'd say it handles a bit better then the Polo GTI and that was a phenomenal little piece of kit for the money.

But that Ralliart Lancer.. yeah I think that's shaping up to be my next car, easy 4 door style, looks clean, decent power, awesome handling and I'm sure they could be made faster with little effort.
If it comes in at 40k.. they just better have sunroof on the option lists.. I LOVE sunroofs.

Yeah, SWMBO wants a Colt Ralliart. Actually, that should read SHE wants ME to lease a Colt Ralliart so SHE can drive it.

I like it quite a lot, but with reservations. The wheels are boring, the brakes look tiny, hopefully the bonnet scoop and vents are only there for the US version. they should paint the middle of the bumper so it doesn't have that wide mouthed look, which they can save for the EVO version. Overall it is quite subtle for what it is. I don't want a swede magnet, so I am keen to see what the Aussie version will look like.

Our EVO's are different from (& generally less crap than) US models, at the level of detail you're talking about, aren't they?
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

I thought the US EVO was the same (essentially) as ours.

                            Looks bloody good IMHO.

In the past, I would have had to go Lancer by default because I simply couldn't get behind the wheel (literally) of anything Subaru made...wonder if they've addressed that in the new WRX? Bring on the Motor Show and I'll find out.

I can't comment about the latest version, but the previous versions in the US missed the tricky diffs and a few other niceties.
