      Doesn't make a huge difference unless you can find a local thats done a few bathursts as its not available to practice on like other local circuits.

              I'll be there supporting the WA guy's who have gone across. CHeap entry at $620 for me too (not entering due car in bits)

                  Why do you all think a local driver cant do a demo lap in whatever the fuck they want? Having said that I reckon the cars regular driver will be much more likely to be driving it.

                  Oh, Did anyone realise that in order to set a lap record you have to be in a race? Qualifying only counts unofficially...& demo laps dont count at all.

                          Apparently it got shitcanned. Bernd Schneider reckons the time would have been somewhere in the 1:50's, but he also said that the crash would have been huge had he made a mistake

                              What was the reason why they canned it? Surely not due to safety as bathurst is upto FIA specs isnt it?

                                Probably realised that it would take more than a few laps in an ill prepared race car with an inexperience driver (for that track) to lap anywhere close a decent time.

                                I bet you they looked at the track map and thought it would be piss easy, then they took a drive around it
