Dude, Its a 626 in a coupe body...it isnt good.

Its FWD, its nose heavy & they torque steered badly standard. It has a flexi chassis & I reckon they are pretty ugly.

Whatever class in motorsport you choose the limit of money that can be spent does not come from the rules, it comes from the funds avaliable to the competitors. Introducing the changes in F1 this year doesnt reduce costs, they still have whatever budget they have regardless of the rules & they will spend every last cent.
Sure rules mean that you get a diminishing return on your money, but you still spend whatever you were going to spend.

Your only worry is if Edo could afford to pay the bills for someone else to build a reliable car. :D

What happens in the arrive & drive type categories is that some competitors buy 2 cars, one that is the race car & locked up so they cant spend money on it & the other that is identical to the race car but they get time to practice & attend to setup etc that all get transferred to the race car before qualifying. You cant win without doing this, you are days & days away from getting your setup right when the other guy is knocking out consistant fast laps

I always thought that it was becuase most mazda owners are fags, and as such prefered to buy mx5s instead

Oh, & my car as it stands now has probably cost more than this fellas MX6. This doesnt make me feel particularly smart I can tell you because I pretty much have a bare shell & some of the more expensive bits but its a long long way away from running.

Just cause Im building a shitbox doesnt mean everyone else should.
*nods* I wholeheartedly agree... I know exactly how shit a Crappy is, and how much more shit they got with time no matter what engine.

But thats my point, you are doing a Capri becuase you want to, he's doing an MX6 becuase he wants to, I'm doing a Lynx because I'm a stubborn dumb fuck.

I actually decicided what class I wanted to run under the tarmac rally regs & then decided on the car, I still maintain its the best car for the class (over 4500cc, pre 1971) mainly because everything that fits in the class is a shitbox...just that a capri perana is a 300+kg lighter shitbox than anything else.

A skyline is a 4 door in a coupe body. An integra is an accord in a coupe body. How is the 626-mx6 thing different? A monaro is a 2 door commodore etc etc etc etc.

Yer I know fwd is shit, im working with what ive got. if Integras can overtake more powerful rwd cars on a track then so can I. All fwd cars are nose heavy, just add a thicker rear sway bar and bam no more understeer. My mates light CRX understeers alot more worse then mine, mx6's have 4ws, I always thought it was that.

Torquesteer just means hold the wheel tighter . I dont see it as different to how a 250kw rwd car has too put in a bit of effort to stop it from crabwalking. The torquesteer is more then managable even with the open diff. But yes, boost does make it worse.

I have no idea on the chassis, but i dont know how you can say it has a flexi chassis. How do you know this? Mx6's dominatiing auto-x in the states for years shows the chassis cant be too bad. The Ford Probe is the same car and again quite popular in the states. The Americans show that the mx6/probe chassis is very decent either as a fwd drag car or around corners.

Looks are all to the individual. I think it looks great . Better looking then a S14, integra, R33 etc in my eyes just to name a few cars in the same year. An FD looks better though.

ran over a nail once when i was in a hurry... was near doncaster autobarn. bought a holts tyre weld which i emptied into the tyre. fixed it perfectly and lasted until i had the tyre changed. drove home on the freeway at 100km/h

when i had the tyre changed the tyre mofo was dirty at me. he somehow knew i used the tyre weld. i told him to settle down as i was stranded and i had no choice but to use it.

Fixed mates car using one of the tyre puncture repair. Pull nail out, insert plastic thingo, seal with black stuff. Worked great. Do you still think I wouldnt notice if that monster sub box+ sub got taken out of the car?

When driving tarmac rally, if a tyre was too leave the ground from a bump in the road, wouldnt you get fucked/into tree when it came back down.

They know becuase all the shit that's in the can is all over their gear, their hands and needs to be cleaned off the rim before the new tyre goes on.

Most of that tyre mousse shit is absofuckinglutely shite for those blokes to deal with. But you do what you got to do.

I'm adding a can to the MX5 and the Lynx as well as keeping the spare (I give no fark for weight gain, sorry mx6klze).

Out of curiousity anyone tried to Co2 charged tyre inflaters that bike shops sell? Sort of for a handy top-up if the spare is a little doughy?

I didnt get rid of the spare because of trying to go lightweight, I just see it as dead weight just like the sub was .

A can of that stuff might make a usefull glove box addition to the air freshener and screwdriver in there though.

                                Smart fags do.

What's the budget.....$15K? I'll build you an MX5 for that money that will shit on any MX6 from a great height. Wasn't that the Pepsi challenge? It's faster than anything else for $15K? Oh and then you can cop endless shit for owning a hairdressers car.
