Great news.

Make sure he gets a carotid ultrasound and echocardiogram BEFORE he leaves hospital.

He sounds like the kind of patient I would be - totally not in hospital and extremely unlikely to follow up with any outpatient appointments.

I'm thinking that a 'PF working bee' is possibly a better idea. I'm no doctor, but I'm pretty sure that following this, Chuck won't be able to do much in the way of labour-intensive effort. I'd expect that helping out around the house/property would be damn useful at this point in time.
