Not necessarily true of this car, actually at $11k it looks quite thoroughly and neatly modified, but then its not really breaking new ground turboing a V6 commodore.

However I digress.... Often people who endlessly trap off about bulding their car to be different, to be individual, are the ones who end up building fairly useless, one trick pony shitboxes.

I.E. 1G-GTE sprinters, Twin Turbo RB20DETs etc. A lot of the time it just makes sense to follow the beaten path and actually get a functionally great result (especially with something as completely nutted out by the community as modding a commodore), rather than a build which is powered by ego in an arseheaded opposition to prevailing logic and experience.

I'm sure that I could find some really good build of a pushrod Holden V6 that makes mega horsepower - in fact I'm sure I've read about a few of them when I used to read Street Commodores. I'd love to have my opinion changed. When I said Falcon Taxi, I literally meant Falcon Taxi - the 500,000km-old shagged ones on LPG with bad diff whine and all the rest of it that sound like shit - not Falcons generally (which I do like). LOL. I'm actually not a knuckledragger, just a car enthusiast. For what it's worth, the SS is the only V8 I've ever owned, and it followed two fours. But as I said, why stop the sweeping generalisations now?

5-6 grand in second hand bits and tune (Diff gears, exhaust, tune, CAI and maybe a convertor if $$$ allow) + second hand SS 20k = VX getting its arse handed back to it

Yeah but, he DID do heavy mods. This thing has to have a fair bit of grunt, and I'll bet it would be fun to drive.

I dunno maybe we have a different definition of heavy mods , what I meant were mods with more engineering and more fabrication , although yes he has heavily modified the engine that came with the car.
