$11k is a deadset bargain . rip all the outside stuff of and make it a executive again ,complete with plastic hubcaps. Then hunt down anti-holden skyline fanbois like TJ and anti-rice boy knuckledraggers like marco and hand them both their arses in your povo vx exec .winner !

Or buy it - turn it back into a stocker and sell for the $8k mentioned in here somewhere and then make a mint selling off this dumb's cunts $XX worth of parts.

I can't see what's so bad about it. It doesn't look too bad (aside from that blue wheel), it's obviously quick and is cheap. As long as it's not half dead it seems like a reasonable buy.

                  Fixed.
Not necessarily true of this car, actually at $11k it looks quite thoroughly and neatly modified, but then its not really breaking new ground turboing a V6 commodore.

However I digress.... Often people who endlessly trap off about bulding their car to be different, to be individual, are the ones who end up building fairly useless, one trick pony shitboxes.

I.E. 1G-GTE sprinters, Twin Turbo RB20DETs etc. A lot of the time it just makes sense to follow the beaten path and actually get a functionally great result (especially with something as completely nutted out by the community as modding a commodore), rather than a build which is powered by ego in an arseheaded opposition to prevailing logic and experience.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe, and from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. Dinosaurs nuzzling their young in pastures where strip-malls should be. Cookies on dowels. All those moments lost in time; gone like eggs off a hooker's stomach. Time to die.

                    Yeah, okay.

I'm sure that I could find some really good build of a pushrod Holden V6 that makes mega horsepower - in fact I'm sure I've read about a few of them when I used to read Street Commodores. But let's not go around claiming that the pushrod V6 is one of the greatest engines of all time and more suitable than an LSx for a performance build, okay? You and I both know that's crap.

I'd love to have my opinion changed. When I said Falcon Taxi, I literally meant Falcon Taxi - the 500,000km-old shagged ones on LPG with bad diff whine and all the rest of it that sound like shit - not Falcons generally (which I do like). Most sixes remind me of that, but I don't have a closed mind about sixes in general.

LOL. I'm actually not a knuckledragger, just a car enthusiast. For what it's worth, the SS is the only V8 I've ever owned, and it followed two fours. But as I said, why stop the sweeping generalisations now?

but you'd still make him look silly too with a vx executive doing him over plus an SS is more than 11k to start with and you wouldnt go quicker for 3k in mods either .

think i'm starting to talk myself into this shitheap :rotflol:

5-6 grand in second hand bits and tune (Diff gears, exhaust, tune, CAI and maybe a convertor if $$$ allow) + second hand SS 20k = VX getting its arse handed back to it

So you've spent 26k to beat an 11k car? Please can you do my tax returns as well?

Sorry, sometimes I forget which forums I'm posting in

Don't worry, I've put Dave's earlier bit of sterling advice in my sig to remind me. I promise it won't happen again.

I dunno maybe we have a different definition of heavy mods , what I meant were mods with more engineering and more fabrication , although yes he has heavily modified the engine that came with the car.

Sounds like we need to go on a multi-quoting campaign to drive bigmuz over the edge :p

Honestly I just do it from habit , I suppose if pf prefers multiple posts I can do that although if a poll was involved about how long it'd take to drive you over the edge I'd keep doing it :p
