To throw a spanner in the works it looks like Mitsubishi dealers are doing Ralliart Colt's which have a usual RRP of about $31-32k onroad, for $21k onroad. Seems you can barely get a Mazda 2 for those dollars.

Has awesome recaros, turbo engine has similar output/torque to the Polo GTI motor and its apparently heaps of fun. Biggest omission seems to be lack of side and curtain airbags though, presumably because of the Recaros. 10 year warranty

I might not be able to test drive one either

Nundah Mitsubishi in Brisbane apparently have them for $17,990+ORC which works out to about $20,400 onroad. That is absolutely ridiculous - apparently partly due to the fact that all Ralliart Colts are built in 2006.

I drove a polo gti and a raliart colt back to back.
The Colt is the better car, more sharp and serious then the polo and more useable with a higher seating position, but I just can't get past the looks.. beaten with a serious ugly stick IMHO.

Agreed, I drove both on the same day, the mitsu was far better driving with better seats and capabilities but the looks can be a real issue.

I'd buy the Polo just to cash in on the VW tax come resale time.

What price looks? I mean if the Colt Ralliart is a better drive, just don't look at it when you get out of it after a decent thrash... :D

My wife likes the Colt but it is WAAAAAAAAY to small for us. Plus I had a few concerns about a brand new car that is already 2 years old, being it would be a lease car. And now I've ended up in a Grand Voyager!

                    Well you lose then.

                      Tell me about it.
On the upside I won't be tempted to spend money playing with the whale. When we were lookling at the Colt I had already made a list of goodies I wanted for it. Not exactly the smartest thing to do on a car that is leased.
Give it a couple of years I could pick up a tidy Polo GTI and have some serious fun with it. My other concern with the Colt is, how durable are they? Since they are from DC's cost saving time I'm a little worried about how well they are screwed together.

If you're comfortable with durability with a Voyager, you should be able to be very comfortable with a Colt, IMHO.
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

Fuck thats cheap for the Colt! My beef is that one you buy isn't the one they road tested and raved about..... some differences in the suspension or something.

Putting a deposit on a gunmetal grey Colt on monday if there is still one available.

Hard to pass up at that price. Yaris, Mazda 2, or Colt with turbo and awesome recaros... same price.. pretty obvious choice

Although I do find the Colt Homosexual, you cannot argue with that pricing...that is a huge drop from when released, they sound like a fun drive also being described as having Go Kart like handling.

Seens as you got it so cheap be sure to Jazz it up with these cool accessories

Ralliart has a bunch of very cool accessories available which are specific to the Ralliart Colt and my pick of these are:

                              * Metal (racing look) fuel cap: $240.00 – a must have, even though a little exy
                              * Metal oil filler cap in three colours: $215.00
                              * Sports Shifter in aluminium: $162.00
                              * Extreme White Headlight Bulb: $161.00
                              * Titanium Pedal Kit: $261.00

Note: Ralliart do not offer branded carpet mats, so you’ll have to settle for Colt branded mats ($125) or call Mitsubishi and have a whinge:
1978 Opel Manta SR Berlinetta 1UZFE
                              2013 Opel Insignia OPC
                              2013 Kia Rio
                              2018 LDV T60
