Learnt to stop fucking with car, or specifically daily drivers and shitty transporters.Originally posted by edo View PostLearnt what?
C63 will come unrestricted, so up to the 390kw spec donks & then it will get gas apparently.
I guess the Vito will get a big exhaust, intercooler & turbo with lots of boost.

In your price range (<15K) i'd probably buy the newest Transporter I could find with 'Manual' gearbox....sound vans, motors are tried and tested, autos are a problem, a guy I see in town with an old transporter (circa 98) has had to recently replace his auto, after a stupid quote thru VW dealer he eventually got a replacement box fitted for around 4G.
I have this motor in my VW Crafter and it goes very well indeed

these are great.Originally posted by Potsy View PostAnyone have/hear some reports on the new Hyundai I-Load vans?
the 2.5ltr turbo diesel in fantastic (auto is sooo smooth), with options like locking diff and barn door they are great.
they come in a 6 seater to.
they actually are giving national fleet discount to ABN holders to. so it is cheaper.
good color range and the ESP options vans a great on track days and in the wet, they are RWD to boot.
definately worth a lookOriginally posted by Spammymaybe a little

Have a look at an older Hiace Commuter. Pull most of the rear seats out and you're set. Just avoid ex-rentals, when I was an apprentice the dealer had one that was well and truly rooted by the time we got it.
I was having a chat with the boss about new vans today, been trying to get rid the Hiace for the last 18 months. We looked at trialling the I-Load except they only come with dual sliders, same issue with the Vito. Not really an option with required vehicle spec means the second slider has to be bolted closed, on 200+ vehicles.
The Transits aren't that bad. Been around this long so they must be pretty good, I actually don't mind them although the Sprinter is better.

The petrol ones we've got average about 15L/100km if you're lucky without a trailer, a 25 seat Diesel Rosa uses not alot more.

I should work out what my Hiace gets, petrol auto. Would probably be about the same, courier work REALLY eats the juice. No wonder we're running Hybrids. Scary thing is we're still running Ford E250s in the US with 351W and Chevy Express vans with 5.7 V8s:oh:Originally posted by Sturmovik View PostMust of been Diesel?
