That said - I don't think they even stock Nitto.....
Tirerack only charged me $280 USD to bring in 8 tyres (4 x 215/40/17's and 4 x 225/45/17's) via Fedex Int'l Economy, which took about 7 business days to arrive (got stuck in customs, cunts).

I'd tell summit to go and get a better quote than $480. Greedy cunts.

WTF they just quoted me $300 for 4 19's. Any chance you've still got an email with the quote or order?

4 wheels just cost me US$280 too, which is why I said $300, given that tyres are a little heavier than my wheels.

Do tirerack take paypal? Prolly cost less through them than the international money transfer at the bank.

No, only accept TT for international customers. Is ~$30 at the ANZ.

I got Nitto's here in Australia, ironically from TTF in Sunshine Melb.

Am asking old mate Summit to do better, Tirerack don't have Nitto but may ask them anyway.

Any West Coast sources? Freight is getting more expensive, sending tyres half way across the US is going to cost a fair bit more methinks.

I would definitely NOT suggest 1010tires.com

Basically, you order the tyres online then they add on an unknown "exhorbitant" amount and you are supposed to think this is good "customer service". They even have a dedicated "International Order Department" to provide this useful information :oh:

I was after a full set of Toyo R888's, BTW. $300 here, $140 on their website.

They can't even spell or use correct grammar either

Here is the reply I got from their "Customer Service Team #2"

We regret to inform you that due to exorbitant price of shipping to Australia, we no longer provide shipping quotes. We will ship you order by cheapest method if you place an order on-line. All other conditional of International order will upply.

i just got a couple of michelin PS2s through http://tires.costco.com they are the big bulk shopping chain where you go in to buy a clove of garlic and the smallest they sell is a 5lb tub. but dont let that fool you, they can "sauce" all kinds of high performance tires with all their bulk buying power and they were cheaper than Tirerack, plus included free fitting, balance, valves, disposal, some kinda tire insurance and free shipping to my closest shop

i have no idea if they ship to anywhere but their own fitting shops, worth asking though. and make sure you can buy them without being a member (i did but they gave me all this special warranty paperwork when i came in to get them fitted since im not a member)
