Why do you have to watch TV at all??? What's wrong with getting out and exercising?

Thats assuming we are all slobs that go home and sit in front of the telly.

I wouldnt cry if 'the car show' was axed, but I'd be dissapointed as thats one less car show off the air. I dont see why people on here make an effort to not watch the show as its no where near that bad. Are you pissed off that the show is not as good as the UK one, and making a stand???
If people in the UK had similar attitudes towards the first few seasons of top gear (which were quite shit), they'd be no top gear UK today.

well, FWIW, I thought last nights effort was a huge improvement, I like rockwiz, so I did not mind the guest at all.

I think its comparable to season 2-3 of tguk, which aint that bad. I will be looking forward to next weeks ep, and remain hopeful it continues to improve.

No, I'm saying in your example to not shoot down a VN commodore when in the 90's because Benz made a better product. Similarly, not to shoot down current 1st season of Top Gear Aus because its shit compared to the UK Top Gear which is in its 12th season.

Its up to you if you want to watch it or not though.......

I don't watch Australian TV apart from the news and most nights I don't even get home in time for the news so the TV doesn't even get a chance to get turned on for weeks. I don't need no gay excuse for any poofy reality TV when torrents downloads fills my dead time quite nicely.

Ever heard of a media centre?

OK, I'll elaborate. I have a PC in the lounge room that runs Linux and MythTV - although you can do it with Winderrrs and Media Centre, or other options. That machine is on the network, so anything I download at my desktop and stash on my server (which at the moment is my desktop but could be any other PC in the house or a NAS box with a network connection and a single hard drive) I can access from the Mythbox using just a remote control. Just like using a DVD or TV. The Mythbox also record live TV for later watch, or pausing live TV etc etc.

You can also buy much lighter duty media portals that act as an interface between your TV and any network storage if you don't want a full PC in the lounge.
