if you buy a $130k IS-F or a $140k C63 don't you expect the very best?

being the flagship product it should be perfect with no engineering shortcuts

i don't care if you never drive to 250km/h or track it, the behaviour of the drive isn't the issue

i would expect a 7.0 litre $150k car to sit at 250km/h all day given the engine would barely be on the powerband at that speed

In relation to the antenae, most euro cars wouldn't have the reception of an Aus developed car which is important when you think of the distance between radio transmission station across Australia. Still it really shouldn't be that hard to make it work at 250+ and it really is a standout example of Holden and Ford Australias lack of attention to detail

How many other N/A engines make 500hp with only 200kg of weight? AMG 6.2L V8 is the only one, BMWs V10 is 240kg.

You can pick up an LS7 for $20k

Oh yeah, and LS7 makes 600hp with just a Cam and headers, which costs what? $2k? An AMG service would cost more.

Wow just finished watching all four eps, how embarrassing. My UK friends keep sending me excerpts from youtube giving me shit about it. Awesome, they must think we all love it!

No reviews, no entertainment or personality, senseless damaging of new cars (I dont care what they are, it's pretty dumb unless it's for a bloody entertaining or smart skit), ful sik teenager skid driving skills, scripted style, audience is completely useless and uninvolved

Not sure I could sit through the toorak tractor thing. The mildly amusing joke was out of the bag when the newspaper covered it, and I don't hold hope there's any more depth or punchline to it

What a shame, they've obviously got a decent budget they could have made a really great show. Even that old 'Drive' show at least ticked one or two of the boxes

I agree, to have so much potential, and then miss the point by such a huge margin is just a crying shame. Its like the Chinese Space agency deciding to go to the moon, hiring the Russians to design the rockets, the US to man it and a fucking Rwandan tribe to build the guidance systems out of mud and sticks.

I've tried to like this show, I've to convince myself that its just "bedding in", but I reckon its just a massive failure. Why did they try to make it so fucking shallow? Why are the hosts not allowed or able to review cars? Why are all the stunts so fucking pointless? Why aren't ANY of the production/script/etc staff interested AT ALL in cars (and why do they need to make it so obvious)? How could the TG UK people sign off on this shambles? Do it properly or don't do it at all!

I too have just watched the first 2 eps (my brother taped it for me while I was overseas) and I'm not sure what to think. Missed the mark is probably a fairly valid discription but at the same time I didn't hate it all that much. Some of it just seems so forced but as others have mentioned give it time and these three blokes might gell really well and the jokes, one-liners and shit stirring should come naturally.

As for the content well no I'm not very impressed as of yet.
