daimler & bmw finance will do up to 5/50% but stalin is 100% spot on, you'll be upside down and major minus equity position and unlikely to be able to get out of the car in 5 yrs... even the structures you spoke about edo are slowly changing... ie: 3/40% 4/35% & 5/25% ...

Not really, ultimately your decision to have kids early is no different to spending up big on plasmas and cars. The reason you don't have the house is because you made a lifestyle choice, not because they're unaffordable. There's nothing wrong with the decision you made, you just need to accept that the position you're in now is down to your decisions, not someone elses.

not really, unless you want to wipe your own spit up when you are a brain fucked 90 year old with nobody to look after you. The majority needs to procrate, it is the fundamental basis for all society.

Sorry, but no, you could've waited a few more years before having kids. Thats why there are heaps of people the same age as you earning a lot less than you claim with houses while you complain about how unaffordable they are.

Except you would have saved millions, so instead of a wrinkly old wife, you have 19yr old sluts to do it for you....

I guess I wasn't really listening to you, but yes average wage + kids = no house. I'd agree on that. It just wouldn't be do-able in Brisbane I don't think.

Who ever says average income, what is average these days?, and kids means no home ownership is full of shit.
Our combined income is >$100k, I have 2 kids, a car that is paid for, a lease car and a mortgage.
Yes the lease car is a little silly, I know the risks on resale but it suits our needs and it's actually makes life easier knowing upfront what the costs are then trying to find the money for the car when it needs something at the same time the kids are sick etc.
As for the house, it's value has increased just over $100k in 12 months, it's 15 minutes from work and it's close to the wife's family.
OK so it's in a lower income area, but the area is quiet and the street is clean and there are no shit holes.
Some people just have their head up their arses trying to look better then they are.
Interestingly, according to the our mortgage manager our house is actually the highest value in the street! And both my cars are worth more then all but 1 car in the street, the other one is a 3 month old Lancer VRX.

I don't think 100K is an average income.

If you ask me 'average' is someone who works while the wife is at home/doing bills & shit.....and and average wage for most guys is somewhere just over $50k isnt it?

Maybee I'm wrong but thats what I'd call the average household.

based on absolutely no stats, facts or figures... my own perception of average would be...

                            40-50k unskilled
                            50-60k semi skilled
                            80k trades person
                            80-90k professional

I suspect that 80k for tradesperson will drop when the economy takes a dive.

The others shouldn't be affected too much.

i think you will see it go the otherway

when the economy has gone to shit, business will need less business analisysts, project managers, shit like that

Shittas will always need to be unblocked, electrical shit will always be tehre to be done and pricks building houses will need walls & shit done..... Tradies are in a good position IMO
