My mate was going to buy an Alfa 159Ti 2.2 on a 4 year 40% residual, he would have got fucked so hard on that one if he did go ahead. I'm upside down on a second hand Alfa with no residual, fuck! I justify my payments by saying that it's better spent on the car than spent pissed up the wall every weekend.

What's with the people thinking that just because some people are leasing their cars, that means they will still have a mortgage at 65, that's rediculous. Well if you're stupid with money you could pull that one. I'd rather pay a few hundred a week for a leased car than to take $60k of my hard earned and tie all of it up in a car that will lose most of it's value in the first 3 years!

Now I've read the rest of the thread, yeah lol. I wouldn't want to buy a house out where I live, but the only reason is because it's too far away from shit. Not every suburb that is 20km+ from the CBD is a shithole, only the south and west side of Brisbane.... :p . House next door to me sold for $460k not long ago, pretty big crack den for sure!
And if you were concerned about your kids growing up with losers, take some cash out of that stingy wallet and send them to a private school or something, I'm pretty sure that's what my parents did in order to keep me the fuck out of the shitholes that are Dakabin, Pine Rivers and Bray Park SHS.

NOT TO MENTION.. there are plenty of derros living inner city. They rent shithole apartments, live in share houses or housing commission. I see plenty in the New Farm area and surrounds. Oh also, I might mention good luck living anywhere where there are teenagers around, most of them are fuckwits, I drove through Ascot last night about 10.30 to find around 50 Corey Worthington fucks milling around the two roundabouts near the park, some of them being interviewed by cops etc, not to mention I have known of plenty of delinquent little shits that live in expensive areas of town, mostly kids of parents that rent, roffle, but there's heaps of the ones who think they can do whatever they want because their parents have money.

Apart from a 9 year old Jackaroo (Which I owned) and a TV, I had nothing up until the age of 29, and was pretty much still living at home.

If it was'nt for my Mum kinda pressuring me into buying my 1st home life could have been a lot different for me...because I probably would have sat back and done nothing.

As it was I built my 1st home in 1999 for $120'000, always had company cars or bought (cash) 4 year old $10'000 cars from Auction from then on, Housing boom came along sold same house 7 years later for $450'000, my now Mrs who also had a House which she bought for $100'000 and was sold for $350'000.

We now live in a Fuckin Massive new house together with a small morgage.

Took voluntary redudency from my Job of 13 years 18 months ago, pocketed another $75'000.

Started our own buisness 18 months ago bought my first new car ever, a $60'000 Nissan Pathfinder Ti, not a hugely expensive car but was a big deal for me and went against everything I always said i would never do (Buy an expensive New Car) its on a Chattel Morgage, we dont 4WD really, nor do we need a $60'000 car, I seriously would have been happy with a 380 from the Auctions (Dumped on a set of Tempe rims ) , I know I'll take a hit on the Pathfinder, and walk away with nothing after the 4 years is up (30% Balloon), but at the end of the day I guess its just an extravigance that we can comfortably afford at the moment so why not

Anywho thats how I afford a 'Luxury Car' Good fortune, timing and luck nothing more!
