No standard- Just need to comply with all the RTA bullshit regarding lights, safety chains and prove the spring & axle GVM.Originally posted by RB30-POWER View Postwhat's involved in getting it rego/engineered/trailer number stamped, it would have to be built to some kind of standard, yes?
When I built mine it got knocked back on the font size on the compliance plate. I had it professionally engraved but it was 7 mm high not 8mm and he knocked it back and I had to get it re-done.
But regarding welds etc they dont check a thing.RB26......................Again

car is on and it didn't fall appart.
WOOO HOOOOOOO
it has a bit of flex at the back because of the overhang. and a flat tyre
i'll have to wait till daylight tomorrow to balance the trailer and then set about welding in the tie down points. so far i have spend about 24 hours on it. and i reckon i'll be at it all day tomorrow.
i know why places build with put away ramps. fold up ones are a total headfuck !!!!
i'll go pack up then add some photo's !!!
i'll probably have a few more beers so the next post may not make sence.....~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
