    4.5 M (14.7 feet) x 180 (6 feet)

Not sure if flex is good. i thought a bit of bracing might have to be used but wasn't sure.

    that is all

Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

            someone else !!!!

i'm trying to find the RTA rules and can't find them anywhere.

i had a copy that i used when i designed the trailer but now that i need to go through and do a final check i can't find it. searched and found nothing.

can someone who has it send it through or post up a link. just need to double check about lights and markers before i go making up light brackets.

            thanks
            James

With the handbrake are they proper cable clamps and not just shitty ubolts ?

if it was me i would throw another 2 per side to ensure the cable is help nice and tight flipping them upside down si it was up down up then throw a shitty ubolt on to measure slippage with, massive over kill but you get that being a rigger.

Also another thing that shits me is people that use a big chain and a $2 shackle to hold it on with. people dont seem to look at load ratings of shit. most stuff with a load rating provided its in a good condition will not break till about 5 times the safe working limit thous stretching can happen
you cant spell advertisements without semen between the tits

To tie the trailer together better, you might want to consider adding a low side rail to the sides and front. That will reduce the flex and stiffen it up considerably. As it has springs, I'd be trying to reduce the flex as much as possible as car trailers have a habit of shaking themselves to bits if not solid enough.

That's what i was thinking CT, just some 20x20 RHS with a whole stack of diagonals.

i stuffed up the rules a bit, i thought the rear overhang was 3.7m. but it has to be the lesser of 3.7m/same as the 'front loading space'.

the rear overhang is 600mm longer than the 'front loading space'

                      tyres are aroun 600mm(ish)

so i'll make a tyre rack at the front, increases the 'front loading space' which makes the rear part of the trailer legal. which means no cutting.

however i will have to put some bracing on it because the trailer just went from 4.5M to 5.1M.......

If you are interested, try fit a supercheap winch to the front of the car trailor. It was more than enough to roll the car up in a minute or two.

                              its not worth it.

I built mine about 2 years ago now (thread on here somewhere) and spent 3 full weekends on it and even after cost price from sims metal on the material and finding the cheapest springs & axles in Australia it still cost $2.5k by the time you paint it, blue slip & rego it. And thats assuming you have all the necessary tools available

I reckon you then be lucky to get 3 - 3.5k for it. There is easier ways to make money.

                              RB26......................Again
