Generally, for a twin axle car trailer like Hoonboy's, brakes on one axle are ok depending on how heavy the car is on the trailer?

Anyone got any figures on price differences between disc / drum setups?

Brakes on one axle is the standard way to go up to a 2000kg, over that they need brakes on all wheels and they must be automatically activated for at least 15 minutes if the trailer accidently detaches from the tow car.

not a great deal of price difference. that's why i went electric.

just have to shop round for parts. my parts varied by $500 depending on where i asked.
