Whats wrong with that? Cars that cross lines have to give way, those that don't have right of way. Forget the arrows, they are only a guide.

What really makes it difficult in this case, is even if the Green Car was in the left lane, and going straight ahead, and the Blue car was turning Right, there is still the possiblility of a accident, as both cars could potentially exit the roundabout at the same time, and find the exit road is only one lane.....

Could just be a shit roundabout, there is one down here in wollongong the elevated oakflats interchange they have made changes to it and is better but when it first opened it was a headfuck of a roundabout

you've got open permission to cut off people heading from the east!

there's crashes nearly every day. People either don't see, don't notice or ignore the signs.

The whole roundabout and surrounding roads are 100% fucked up. The main 2 lane road from the roundabout heads to Newcastle and the Pacific hwy coast road. You have to turn right at the roundabout.

But coming from the New England (Maitland, and 1/3 of the country's coalfields) there is no way to get onto the freeway except for a tiny little single lane road full of little roundabouts through what is now an industrial area. And when you DO get to the big F3 roundabout, you can't go thru it because of the sheer volume of northbound F3 traffic.

Net result is shift change at the mines and friday arvos traffic banks up from here:

They just bbuilt a snappy new overpass, but the effect on the southbound new england traffic has been nil. There is still no way (and apparently no plan) to get this traffic to the freeway.

The problem with UK round about road rules is that it's different to the ones we have here so left lane in a 3 lane round about can turn right or keep going round and round because they are treated the same as the lanes in a straight bit of road... that's my understanding and that's why the "magic roundabout" works there.

Must say that the road markings in NSW are generally terrible, some of those pics show that too. So its not surprising that there are crashes, but as we know crashes are caused by speed not road inadequacies
