Another vote for neutral to slight understeer with ability to power oversteer for RWD or in a FWD same as before but with the ability to lift off oversteer slightly when asked to correct understeer mid corner.- Gary

just saw this on another forum:
Understeer is when you hit the wall with your front end. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with your rearend. Horsepower is how hard you hit the wall. Torque is how far you move the wall.2019 Tiguan 162TSI HighLine R-Line ole ftang biscuit barrel

Yuh, my HG Holden had understeer, then oversteer, then understeer, then oversteer, all the while having lots of horsepower, then because it didn't have enough torque it climbed up on top of the bank instead of moving it and did some understeer and oversteer on the roof.Originally posted by bugleThe non GTS's were gay

Is that Sir John Whitmore in the front one?"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

Only way to make a wrong-wheel-drive relatively fun/quick around a track (provided it's reasonably progressive).
In a FWD neutral/mild oversteer on turn-in, plenty of lift-off oversteer is the way to go IMO. Needless to say on the gas it's gonna always be neutral-->understeer.
A poorly setup fwd (i.e 99% of them) which just chronic understeer no matter what you're doing is pretty depressing to drive.Rice Rocket Evo 8: http://performanceforums.com/forums/...6530-Evo-8-gsr

Not wrong about the chronic understeerers being a very sad experience to drive.Originally posted by Chisholm View PostMe

After today's spirited drive I'm still all for a bit of oversteer in a FWD. It's very fun when all you need is some throttle to right it.- Gary

This makes me wish I was old enough to see racing like this back in the day. Modern day racing is so sanitised and boring in the most popular fields (F1, touring cars, etc). Watching the alfas today at lakeside made me smile more than I can remember watching motorsport in the longest time.Originally posted by UZZ31 View Post
