I have thought about that.Originally posted by Billzilla View PostHow about an 1170cc turbo engine? (1170 x 1.7 = <2000cc)
Would that work better for you?
what a good starting engine?
destroked sr20?
" "mazda bp18?
" "4age?
" "BEAMS???
im stumped, i know a person who has made a micra 1.1L but the piston speed is ridicules due to the longer stroke.
Ultimately that's the perfect engine for under 2 litre sports sedans.Profi

Not sure, but I'd pick something with an iron block for strength. Looks like you're going to have to get a crank made pretty much no matter what you do, so just pick something that has good support - Boost covers a multitude of sins so as long as the head is half reasonable they'll all work.Originally posted by profi View PostI have thought about that.

I'll stick to what I'm familiar with, and say something like a 7AFE head on a 4AGZE block.

Still might be worth calling Meridian to see how much their R1-based V8 would be. I think it was in the region of $20,000 odd though.Originally posted by profi View PostTo bad one of these dont come in a 2 litre.

I'd like to put a 2.8 litre one into the Fraser when I win lotto.

If it was turbo, would you need to rev it that hard?Originally posted by Billzilla View PostHow would the vibration be on a single rotor engine?Japanese Nostalgic Car - Dedicated to classic japanese cars

Here's another one. AFAIK converting from twin to single is not something that just anyone can do. I think Leon Prgomet's the man, he did the single rotor development for an aero application to start with.Japanese Nostalgic Car - Dedicated to classic japanese cars
