    Senna & Ratzenberger - 15 years on

I just looked at my calendar and realised the date.

15 years ago today, Roland Ratzenberger was killed during quali of the '94 San Marino GP.
15 years ago tomorrow, Aryton Senna was killed during the race at Imola.

Hard to believe it's been that long. I was only 10yrs old at the time but I remember it like it was yesterday - watching that race with my old man, I couldn't figure out why Senna wasn't getting out of the car after what looked like a heavy, yet not particularly nasty, crash.

    RIP guys

    RIP Roland and Ayrton

Senna was the reason I got interested in F1 all those years ago

Yeah, RIP guys. I was not a massive motorsports person then (would have been 14) but still remember when I got up in the morning that my old man told me what had happen.

I too was just 10... and was just starting to get into motorsport. I can remember the footage so bloody clearly. Especially the view from up above when he was completely still in the car..... still gives me chills.

          RIP.

Yep I was 10 at the time and remember getting up in the morning and Dad telling me that Senna had died in the race overnight. RIP to both of them. Certainly doesn't feel like 15 years go...

He always made it look so easy.

The first time I saw Senna at Adelaide I watched him launch it over the kerb at Stag and said to myself - "He's going to be world champ". Didn't take long after that either.

And like others have mentioned this was the race that got me really interested in motorsport. Flying over kerbs, scraping walls, getting punctures and every time coming back charging at the leaders. Got me hooked for life.

Whipper snappers. I was 19 and remember it clearly. Was down the coast at a mate's place and they all went out on the turps and I stayed home to watch the GP. Wish I hadn't.

                  RIP
