There's still plenty of opportunity for Vic to run a Summernats-type event, but Sandown is just too small. Hopefully this will make a bigger Calder event, though we may need to wait for a changing of the guard over there...

Old Jon was on the warpath, and it seems he's got some tricks up his sleeve so all hope may not be lost yet...

I figured this is probably the only forum i frequent who may have seen it, since the show covers actual motorsport and a lot of the "enthusiasts" at easternats, and other perfomance car type forums i frequent have trouble tying a shoelace, let alone showing an interest in something other than burnout comps and saggy crimebournite tits on a (only just) post pubescent mother of two (or six)

As I said, it will be a shame, but stop blaming the promoter for trying to make it a great event and make money and start looking at the entrants that are fucking it up for everyone...

When you seek to attract the lowest common denominator, youll rarely be disappointed..

I used to love easternats, first as a spectator, then an entrant, and it wouldnt bother me one bit if the entry fee doubled, and a third of the cars were cut.

There are too many dickheads now, and if dickheads are whats required to keep the event on the track, why the complaints when they do dickhead related things?

Id much rather pay more to see less cars, of higher quality, and a better "class" of entrant as a spectator.

Id be happier still to pay a higher entry to be part of it..As would others id suspect.

I just want it back, as its a great event that I have been to or entered in most years. Who gives a shit what it costs, we dont have anything else in metropolitan melbourne like it (not everyone wants to drive to Bumfuck, Idaho...i mean Shepparton)

This was on another forum as well, theres huge whinge threads on the crummydore forums.

Calder Park would like all parties concerned to be absolutely clear as to the cancellation of the Easternats scheduled to be held at Calder Park from April 3-5, 2010, and therefore present the following facts.

Fact one
The Easternats under the direction of Jon Davison, the event Promoter, is responsible for the cancellation of the event.

Fact two
Calder Park, the venue owner, was only notified at 5:57pm on Monday evening (March 15) via Email of the event cancellation.

Fact three
Calder Park considers the cancellation of the event to be premature.
Calder Park management is willing to proceed with the event should certain contractual agreements be met.

Fact four
Calder Park is generally apologetic to any persons that have entered or who were looking forward to this coming event.

Calder Park is concerned that the blame for the cancellation has been directed at Calder Park and Bob Jane.

The Easternats cancellation is the direct responsibility of Jon Davison and the Easternats Management and their unwillingness to proceed with the event.

All complaints should be directed to Jon Davison, the Easternats Promoter and Manager.

Knowning what they are like - the Calder Cunts probably put the prices up or changed a previous agreed contract becasue they know that Jon had no option at this late stage but to pay extra. - I spoke to Jon a few weeks back and he was saying he was having some "issues" but he was hoping that the "issues" would be resolved.....

So if that's the case, I applaud Jon for not bowing down to them and taking their shit... Bob Jane has always been a cunt towards Easternats, so it doesn't surprise me that he/Calder Park would try something like this so close to the event, and then turning it around on Jon and making it his decision..

So to Bob Jane - hurry up and die you prick.....
