The weirdest thing is he can't drive them because they're a part of a trust or something like that. The guy who looks after the museum gets to take them out for a periodic spin and he had the silver Gullwing at Ford's proving grounds at over 200kmh. Lucky cunt!

The F50 and XJ220 didn't get driven because I don't think they are road legal in Australia.

It's worth the 2 or 3 bucks to go and check it out.

for any one in melb, it more or less at the bottom end of flinders street with the rolls royce museum. (IIRC)

The guy who looks after the cars also used to take the Ferrari's down to Avalon airport before it became a domestic and Jetstar starting flying out of there. (Lindsey Fox owns the airport too)

From memory the car collection was started by his son, he took his own life. I suppose Lindsey holds onto them in memory of his son.

That would suck to have so many nice cars and not actually get to drive them.

I think the PF style would be to have 15 cars, all projects, but none of them work at any given time.

It would appear so. As awesome as some of those "garages" are, that much personal wealth is kind of obscene.

If I had either of these cars I'd give no fark for road legalities! At the same time I'd probably give no fark for the cost of hiring Phillip Island either!!
