only 1 person has even tried with an NA S13 AFAIK - its going alright

I noticed GXi R32 the fudgepacker model has a ca18i!. R32 has huge aftermarket leftovers these days.
A qr20dd would be possible. In the US theres a QR20DE with modded full counterweight sr20 crank.
The DD has the direct injection. Rod stroke ratio is way better than any SR. 89mm bores x 80.3 stroke.
10kg lighter and heads outflow the sr20de. Rods are long a flimsy things first thing to tackle.

only the GTS, GTS4 and GTS-T model R32's are eligible for IPRA under the approved models list. GT-R is eligible under Group A homologation. All of which were straight 6's. Therefore only straight 6's can be used.

Thanks for the heads up, Its a shame as I didnt think the s13 was campaigned in their day yet its allowed?
The more cheap attainable cars that are allowed the more chance to see this series healthy in tougher times to come. Currently there are many selling their weekend racers and projects.

Dave is a bloody good steerer - he'd easily be in the top 10% of IP drivers.

It's taken a lot more effort than most would know for him to get that car at the pointy end. A plug and play Civic is a far cheaper and better option. Dave is just a Datto fanatic, hence his persistance...
The older i get, the better i was...

Im only In The Datsun Sunny GTiR cause Im a Datsun fanatic.
Civic is a great package and I believe an EG with a K24 with 2.6 kit could be an outrite car in the right hands.

If over 2ltrs and being Datto Bias how about an S13 with 2.6 KA24DE?
Brian Crower supplies to a US class that sees KAs in the 260 rwhp range.

Great idea in theory, but then you are head to head with the rotors and it would still be sorely lacking in power to weight.

well considering people have got over 300rwhp out of sr24ve's and the engine is a little lighter I think its a poor option. Although the torque from the pos ka would be decent

Ive been corrected the SCCA GT3 KA24E engines roughly cost $9.5K to build
300+hp @ the engine. Though Brian Crower 2.6 cranks where not approved.

Top RX7s are about 250rwhp on honest Dynos inc the Tander car and within 1000kg race weight and have 30+ years R+D but I believe the 90s Civics with a big K engine can match them.

Not sure if the KA engine is avalible in an IP eligible vehical? If not then we can not use them.

not tha I can think of - they don't include commercial vehicles etc do they?
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."
