Plus, the Chev is lighter and more compact. Z32s are cunts of things to work in/on with the VG in there, let alone the massive bulk of the VH and VK motors.Originally posted by TK View PostLSx & 6 speed, don't think any harder than that.
VHxx is nice, but LSx is better bang for buck, simple, tough & easy to get parts for, every cunt sticks em in everything, plenty of conversion type stuff around.
A few years back I was involved in the slightly sacreligious removal of a 350 from a Corvette and replacement with a VG30DET. The Nissan took up more room in the engine bay, both in width and length, than the Chev did. Sure, it was a better engine than the old 350 rattler, but it didn't make it easier to work on.
Any plan that involves both a V8 and any form of turboing will have more chance of fitting into the Z32 if it starts with an LS.Originally posted by bugleThe non GTS's were gay

Was that a Delcoman project that ended up getting mentioned in Zoom?Originally posted by GTSBoy View Post.

No. Brenton @ Fours'n'more did it for the father of a guy who was working at the workshop. The job was a technical success, but as you could expect, a commercial disaster. I can't quite remember the guy's name, but they were from the Eyre Peninsular IIRC, and a bit, um, country.Originally posted by CXTdreamer View PostWas that a Delcoman project that ended up getting mentioned in Zoom?
FWIW, I think it was in Zoom, because I recall Donnon was up there taking photos of it and talking shit nearly every time I visited.Originally posted by bugleThe non GTS's were gay

thanks for the input so far guys i think ill go for an ls1/6spd to keep it cheapish.
the car will most likely be getting here on thusrday sometime an dill start pulling the vg out, i just cant wait.
after that it will pretty much come to a stop for a little while so i can get some funds together for the ls and other bits and pieces that ill need.
all i want to achieve initially is to get the thing running leaving the stock suspension and brakes and see how it drives before i make any more decisions about mods.
does it need to have a cage to get on the track? or can i get away without one?
ive never attempted anything like this before so its all new to me.
that hardest part is not having a shed to do an of the work in, all i have is a verandah haha.
this fucks up my plans for the ss which was going to cop an ls2/6spd but ive scored my mates old turbos off his zed so ill just end up rebuliding the 304 to handle a bit of boost and that should keep me happy until the t5 calls it quits.Originally posted by KarnageSounds like a candidate for involuntary euthanasia or perhaps surprise assisted suicide.
