Why caterham/clubman guys always put such godawful cheapshit wheels on these things is beyond me.
I'm guessing becuase maybe finding the right size, offset, bolt pattern is hard. I know when looking for a new set 13x7 4x108 wheels for mine there was only Hotwires, Jellybeans or repro superlites.
In the end I bought the Road Rebel copies from the UK. (Spewing I didn't buy the set 13x7 Road Rebels on Gumtree for $700!)
And here's a set of Rial Racing 3 piece goodness, 3.5 KG wheels.

Availability in 4x108 that's not a 13 is even more suck-full. At least in 13" you've got all the UK Escort stuff, oh and 13x8/13x9 GTAm wheels.
well, i'd rather all cash but also have never driven a TA22, hence the question.
I had a 2l Coupe as my first car. They are not a drivers car. I posted a critique in Sam's 124 thread I think.
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."
I love TA22's and think they're cool as fuck, I've owned 2 of them in the past and still own an RA23. Having said that, in standard form they are far from inspiring to drive. If you've ever driven a 70's Corolla or other random Japanese econobox from that era, that's basically what they're like.
With a bit of work they can be shitloads of fun, but that's true for just about any old car I suppose. Buy it if you think it looks cool and is worth it on that basis alone, otherwise don't bother.
Also it's full of rust. Even if you think it isn't, it is.

ok, cheers.
might give it a miss then. the 2002 probably does the same sort of thing a TA22 does if not better, by the sound of it.
Yep still super pissed off I didn't buy the original set on gumtree for $700, they were either 13x7 or 13x8, more like 8 as they had way more dish than mine. But I keep telling myself that a wheel made in 2017 has to better than a wheel made 30-40 years ago.
