It said it was done with 205 slicks. Still skinny, but with slicks probably doable. I personally would want to minitub itOriginally posted by Falc&Send View PostHow does it do 9s with cheesecutter tyres? Afaik, none were optioned with it in Australia. I've heard mentions of one or two cars with it in the US. I reckon you could count how many cars have it world wide on your fingers, and not need to count your thumbs.Originally posted by Norbie View PostAhaha I hope no-one paid actual money for that!
Of course it's real granite, Mercedes was making a big song and dance about the fact the wood, and stone, trim was all laser cut to be just mm thick.Originally posted by PXL265 View PostIf it was real granite, I would have if I was baller enough to consider one if those new...

I recall the sales manager at the dealer commenting the only people who would order it are drug lords so they can "quality control" the product, the disturbing thing was he mentioned granite was just as good as a mirror to snort coke off.

I can't imagine a worse surface to rack off than a centre console. I mean, maybe the human body but at least that's fun.Originally posted by irsa76 View PostI recall the sales manager at the dealer commenting the only people who would order it are drug lords so they can "quality control" the product, the disturbing thing was he mentioned granite was just as good as a mirror to snort coke off.

Here is a question...
I had a look at FD3S RX7's last night, just for fun... Does anyone want to speculate why about 90% of the FD3S's for sale are 2000 or plus year models? Of course they're newer, but where have all the 1992 to 1999 ones gone? Surely there should be a metric fuckload of these things sitting around in sheds with busted engines, running with a seal on it's way out, etc, etc, etc that would be going cheap.Panzer Wagen
M-Cars follow the idea that power should be felt & not seen

One of the lads I know and have competed with many times over the years is selling one of his toys. Is an amazing car if you like that sort of thing. Lotus Elise S1. Road rego, great competition history (I have competed against it many times over many years and it is very quick). Great value at the asking price, and will only appreciate in value from now as S1 Elises are getting 20 years old now. Advert printout follows:
This particular S1 Elise has a fantastic history. It was originally a Lotus Motorsport car, owned by professional driver Paul Stokell who drove it to 3rd Outright in Targa Tasmania in 1999! It was later purchased and driven by Bob Chaplin and brought to WA. Its never done any door to door racing, just club level sprints etc. Bob was very successful in the car for many years and I bought it from him in 2015 and have absolutely loved the car.
The engine is fantastic and has over 200hp which in a 750kg car is epic. I have participated in a number of local sprints and have always simply driven the car to and from events. I also did Targa West in It last year in the Challenge series (130kph limit) and it was epic. The car is fully road licensed and has been incredibly reliable.
Since purchasing the car from Bob, I put in a new motorsport alternator, bought some new seat inserts and harnesses and recently we completely refreshed the engine firewall so the engine bay looks gorgeous. It also has almost brand new R-spec tyres that have only done one Targa.
Although it is very road drivable and would be fine for cruises and driving to and from events, this is certainly more of a motorsport car than a road car with a huge (and I do mean HUGE) amount of money spent on the engine and suspension over the years (see list of upgrades below). Cosmetically, paintwork is good but I wouldn't call it concours or perfect. It's meant to be used.
Some of the specs:-
The engine was built by Scholar engines UK.

Wheels - I know they are very special and very light but can't remember the name.
Lots of other upgrades that just make this S1 magical to drive.
I’ve attached a few pics (hard-top isn't mine) and more than happy to chat re the car, face-time or similar if you're interstate and discuss all the magic bits. I have got a road-going S1 on it's way so sadly as much as I love this car, it's time to move FurElise on. Obviously happy to assist with interstate transport.
If you’re interested, be quick Asking price is $38,000

ThisOriginally posted by THE CHIEF View PostProbably because 92-99 they where on sale in Australia, those years aren't allowed to be imported and not a huge number sold here to start with. Also, half of the busted ones are now LS1/2 powered.
Just a guess.
We sold 50 in Aus, imported a fuck tonOriginally posted by brasherTJ is 99% African American.

I wonder how hard it would be to reshell and reregister? What are the chances that the rear diff and cradle could bolt in to an NA version.Originally posted by Reax View Posthttps://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-Foc...sid=m570.l1313
