Fit a proper airbox, paint the valve cover stealth black and lose the gear knob it'd be a great daily sleeper.
Lots of minis & mokes including a G13b powered Sports Sedan, a couple of Swift Gtis, a Goggomobil, Porsche 928S, Polo Gti, BMW 540i, a WRX and a few others.
Was looking at that last week. Certainly better value than a dog eared 400000km SC for the same money.

I still remember buying my first car, a blue et turbo from first owner in 1992 for $3500. Awesome little thing it was.

^^ probably. But for a first car it was awesome. I remember coming flying around a corner in the wet, massive lift oversteer and onto the footpath and a semi trailer coming towards me. All this with a car full of mates. Fun times.
Loved that car so much when sold it and bought another after briefly owning a VC Commodore.
