Anyone in the market for a really good XJ12 project car?
I looked at this today. 3 owners since new, and it's been off the road in dry storage since 1993. Looks like it was a good car at that time. Has documentation going way back.
Only a few small parts missing, like the rhs exhaust down pipe, a fuel injector, a fuel pressure reg, and the parcel shelf cover, maybe the dash top pad.
Has a rebuilt turbo 400 (from 1994) and recovered (in cheap velour though) seats. The rest of the interior is in very good original condition. Minimal sun damage, no rust, no serious dents, 30+ year old paint in good condition, etc.
With some work, it'd be a really good thing. Not sure if I want it myself or not, I tend to prefer rougher nuggets for some reason...
It's not advertised yet, but the owner is going to advertise it for 10k. It'll sell for a lot less than that.
Let me know if you're interested and I'll pass on the details.

Sort of 'so stupid it's almost worth it' - twin turbo 510ci stroker Viper V10 Dodge Coronet.

Utterly useless though, you'd never get rego. And the wheels need to die in a fire.

The wheels make the brakes look tiny. Need to go ASAP

Well perfect for you, pull Viper motor for CM as you have previously said that that motor is legal. Refit forced induction once rego on CM is sorted.

Swap brakes and engine from CM into Coronet, use Coronet brakes in CM, and then sell so you make a profit.....

Fake Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder SWB sells for US$396,000 (A$577,000)

Car from 1980s movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,

                            https://www.caradvice.com.au/821031/...000-in-the-us/

The movie’s producers used a real 250 GT California Spyder for close-up shots, but when it came to scenes where the ‘Ferrari’ was thrashed through the streets of Chicago before being crashed by Bueller in the famous ‘odometer rollback’ scene, the film’s budget demanded replicas be used as stunt doubles.

According to auction house Barrett-Jackson, car #GTC0001 has recently undergone a body-off restoration with the rub treated to carbon-fibre panels. Powered by 7.0-litre V8 mated to a five-speed manual gearbox sending drive to the rear wheels, the replica is a far cry from the original car’s 3.0-litre Colombo V12.
The car rides on independent suspension all-round with adjustable coilovers. The beautiful 16-inch chrome wire wheels are custom-made and wear BFGoodrich rubber.

Far from being a period correct replica, #GTC0001 features a GPS-based speedo, a Retrosound radio with Bluetooth connectivity with a pair of Blaupunkt amps hiding in the refurbished boot, powering 14 speakers tastefully hidden throughout the cabin.

Included in the sale price is a swag of movie memorabilia including signed photos, a 1/24-scale diecast model while anyone doubting the provenance of the fake Ferrari can be shown a Certificate of Authenticity issued by Modena Design and Development. No, really.
