Update to Navara/Pathfinder

I'll be interested in all these...I hope Datto do a V6 TD Navara with a decent interior...that would be tops.

Patrol is all kinds of win & for those fuckwits who suggest its all gone soft...who gives a shit, you are 2% of their market & probably wouldnt buy new anyway.
I say bring on the all independent suspension...& the VK56.

I guess this will keep the 2nd hand market alive for the GU 4.2 TD modles - especially the cab chassis ones. They're still very sought after by tradies and the like for the potential epic pulling power and tunability.

It will be interesting to see how the datto prices go, Patrols have been much cheaper than Cruisers in the past (as they should have been) but this looks like it might get all up there & expensive like the toyotas.

The old style Patrols need the new Patrols engines for Mucho win offroad....and for towing.

I'd still take the new shape one however, as you rarely go offroad....and you'd be suprised how far you can get offroad with a few electronics when you actually do go.

This has been discussed, Simon doesnt reckon the manifolds for the boat (with its 4 turbos) will fit...but he is willing to have a crack at TTing it.

Hmmm I was wondering what will replace our Pathfinder, but now with the possibility of the TDV6, I might look to stay with another. Granted if you go over to the Pathfinder forums there are so many people who've had no end of dramas with the R51, but mine must of been a Wednesday car. Other than the broken rear door handles(Yes they are the modern day equivalent of the XD), it's been a very reliable 4WD.

Would be a shame if they stopped selling the old model all together. They're a great truck for off road and towing (and yeah they drive like a truck, but I like it like that).

Yeh I am certainly hoping the new pathy gets the 6cyl TD donk. My current r51 is due for renewal mid 2011 so if I go another 4wd (which is looking likely) then the new model pathy will be the front runner.
