Ah. So you're planning on reversing so quickly in a stock AW11 MR2 that the engine in the back actually exists in the front at the same time.

      Genius!

seriously though, if you have a look at the way corollas and MR2's are made, it seems really simple compared to other cars.

*the 1st gen mr2 and corolla chassis are --loosely-- based on each other. so mixing and matching components shouldnt be too hard

*none of the suspension points are mounted off the crossmembers, so cutting and shutting inner gaurds and crossmembers is alot easier.

*4ages came in nearly every single combination you can think of.

*being loosely based on each other, the wheel tracks and shit should be similar, so my very basic misguided theory suggests a 4age and box could fit in the front, once the inner gaurds and various shit in the front had been relocated.

main issues i see i bonnet height for front engine, and where the fuck to put the fuel tank. and maybe fire wall issues depending on how far forward toyota put it.

now before anyone shoots me down.. remember, its just a crazy dream of mine

That was a factory car...I remember it well.

He looped it just after the bridge and stalled the one of the engines. Seeing a car sitting there idling (you could hear it) AND turning over at the same time was kind of weird!

you can always hear them when they break and they stop the engine immediately so you can't do any more damage.

A bit of a job to synchronise the gearboxes and engines but it'd be fun to drive.
We've had this chat before and I still reckon the simplest is to run both engines injector sets from the rear engines ecu (simply run another set of injector wires to the front engine spliced into the rear injectors wires) and if the front engine gets wheelspin it will simply upset it's mixture and drop it's power back.

                    Or

An electronic tacho that counts both ends and tells when one is different revs and starts interupting that engine's spark (rev limiter) but you have to pay for some clever bastard to make it for you. Of course you can allow the rear end go a little higher revs over the front for skids but not the other way 'round.

                          wat?

the car/clip in question is from a dvd. They are also playing it on a fox channel called discovery turbo. They played it tonight. The production values look about the same level as a pf hampton day.
