The WRC regs change for next year with new WRCars based on the current S2000 rally cars but with 1.6 L turbo engines. Maybe it's a marketing strategy from Ford to sell a sportier version of their Fiesta that has similarities to their latest rally car?

I was all set to order one a couple of years ago, grey with no stripes, until I actually looked at one in person.
