I need to do some measuring and contemplating once I get a measurement.

Another thought... (yes I am thinking about this too much) it has a "heavy duty" clutch designed for an NA engine, it will probably slip with mega power increase and hopefullly save the gearbox. So I should boost it until it slips on the dyno and then back it off a bit. Sticking with 195 tyres should also help the gearbox but make driving a bit more interesting.

My old CC lancer had a 4G63t conversion, using a 2.0 sonata flywheel and a HD clutch and it was fine, copped a heap of abuse, boxes (also diff centre) died, before the clutch died.....
I wouldn't recommend sex, drugs or insanity for everyone, but they've always worked for me...

Fuckinsonofabitch, not enough room between the head and brake master cylinder for JZK25's setup to fit on the hot side

It looks like the flange plate of the manifold would be below the master cylinder height to me. The flange is only at headgasket height and the S5 turbo has a weird shaped exhaust housing that sends the turbo off towards the head.(I had to remake the farking manifold because of this)

If you have an NA exhaust manifold you can send me I will take it off and you can try it. It's coming off regardless.

It might fit, but it would be very close to the master cylinder. It was hard to get a decent pic holding the tape measure and camera in the dark, but the master cylinder is pretty much in line with the exhaust port height wise. The flange may go underneath it, but I would be concerned about the bleeder sticking out and hitting. The engine moves about a fair bit on the mounts as is so anything less then a few cms of clearance would require some stiffer mounts.

I don't have a spare manifold (extractors are too big for aus post so I can't send those), might be able to get one from Gaz if he is feeling nice

I reckon it'll fit ok going by that pic.

Got home in daylight today and could have a better look, going on this pic:this pic, I assume the 230mm is from the head flange to the corner of the turbo flange. Can you measure how far from the front of the head it is? Looks like it may just fit.

                      It'll fit.

                      Will check tomorrow.

I like your confidence! If it doesn't fit, is there enough room on the merge pipe to lower the flange height by 5-10mm? Not asking you to do it, just want to know if it's an option as I am only worried about the bleed valve at the moment.

I'd drop the engine down before I fucked with the manifold, it's been raped enough already changing from the toyota turbo to the rotary thing.

                          It'll fit anyway, stop worrying.

Moving the engine a bit did cross my mind, it needs stronger mounts anyway.
