did you really buy it expecting it to be a cheap reliable car?
Yeah, it was this or a micra

For fucks sake, has anyone even read what I posted as to my reasons for considering this? This car is not original as far as factory specs are concerned nor will it win any concourse events. It is however a rare and valuable thing that I want to drive and enjoy, not leave sitting in the shed for fear of something shitting itself should I want to give the throttle a stab.

Yeah, I read it...& said that the smart thing to do is to go see the guru. No cunt here is a guru on your car...thus all you are getting is vague but amusing ill informed bullshit.

I'm with edo here... but all things considered, i think your problem can be solved will a twinturbozet, and a hiclone, and perhaps some tin catalyst in the fuel lines...

Kugelfischer it is - think diesel injection but injected into the inlet manifold rather than the combustion chamber.

This would be difficult to change methinks...

All the Porsche owners want Kugelfischer for their race cars.

It is good when working but then there aren't many people who can fix it properly.

                  cheers

This would be my train of thought.

Will fitting electronic injection prolong your enjoyment of the car and thus make you keep it for a longer time? If so go right ahead, but make it reversible.

Because if you start to get shitty at the current setup it will eventually wear you down with problems/money and you will get rid of it, and then you will whinge that you should have kept it like all people attached to a car do.

Unless the purists are willing to go back and find youtube footage from 20 years ago I doubt it will concern me too much, I plan on keeping the car at least that long.

Russell is the guru in question.

Interesting, I know the car you are speaking of. What sort of dollars is he looking at for it?
