Have a Valiant with six cylinders. It was a plug issue, rather than the expected burnt out valve.

Does anyone know if those little dodgy heaters that plug into your cigarette lighter count as a demister for roadworthy?

Fark..... 20 days to go (Till we leave Sydney anyway) and we still have:

1. One more car to buy.... and most likely fix/prepare.
2. Two more sitting there ready to be fixed/prepared...
3. and One almost ready recovery vehicle.....

And because I'm "The car guy" in our group, everyone in the team looks to me for help (in other words "Can you fix it for me").
And on top of that I am trying to get the race car ready for the next round, which is on just after we get back from Darwin...

AND trying to keep the wife and kids happy...mainly the wife, she tends to get upset when I spend all day and night, every day, working on cars.
The Kids are easy.... just give them internet access and they are sweet:knock:

Is sleep really all that necessary? Or is it over rated??

Any brissie guys going to the meet and greet on Wednesday night?

Prelude is all set for the roadworthy next Tuesday. Four new tyres and two spares all sorted plus a new battery...like a brand new car.

Just got to sort out our final $2k sponsorship invoice and we are sorted (except for paint...)

Didn't realise it was this Wednesday - might rock up briefly to collect the stickers and have a beer.

The Val is booked in for roadworthy next Friday - almost everything's done, just have to replace the third headlight with an actual parker light and I'm there. Running sweetly on six cylinders and tuned nicely, now, too. No idea how we had it running at all the way it was tuned before.

Our pledged funds exceed the $4k, too. Just have to chase it down.

554cc of grunt! My mini mechanic is selling it - so it'll look like shit but run beautifully. Would certainly have the smallest car in the rally.
