"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

I think you're confusing the Vic E30 class which runs with IP. If you were building an E30 for IP proper you could run a 3.2 E36 motor with plenty of work done.Originally posted by sketchypiMp View PostExactly what I thought. E30 IP allows 2.7 strokers and not much else from memory in terms of engine capacity. Even then you'd have to zing it to 8k rpm which neccesitates all sorts of cylinder head based upgrades.
Feel free to give us a run down of what it takes to make a 210+rwhp M20 though for IP.
This is Clement's (ex Justin Wade) IPRA E36 M3. IIRC they were claiming over 400FWHP, certainly enough to munch the Hollinger on the weekend at Lakeside.

i thought it was a bit under 210hp at the rears? so that would be about 270 at the crank. And yeah, stroked. Has the same running gear as I do (but ive got a bigger cam).Originally posted by Marv View Post"Digger" in Sydney made near 300hp out of an M20, but that's probably one of the most highly developed "street" M20s in the world. It's also 3.0L, not 2.3/2.5

black e21. Cam is stupidly big, needs the new bottom end under it asap. Hope to be able to take it out of its tomb with time off over christmas. Put the head on the new block and mount the edis stuff. Kinda interested to hear it running with efi and throttles. Be nice to start stripping the body back too and get it in some epoxy primer.Originally posted by Marv View Postwas @ the fly. He's quoted 220 @ rears before.
is that for your silver E30? Or the black E21?Originally posted by Buford T. JusticeThis happens every time one of these floozies starts poontangin' around with those show folk fags.
