You won't regret it. Your best friend is probably just a 911 snob. While we all know and love the rear engine cars there is a good deal of ignorance about the front engine offerings. A warmed 944 turbo will cane virtually any rear engine 911 variant and be unique while doing it. Had things been a little different and for some reason the 944 turbo had an Audi badge on it, we'd all be proclaiming its classic status and the prices would be higher I'd guess.

Hard to go past a 944 Turbo especially when you compare the prices to those of 911s. A well sorted 944 turbo is everybit as quick as a 911 as well.
The 928 is a totally different story, personally I prefer a 928 S4 over just about any other classic Porsche.
