Good job on buying it Cal. Won't take much to make it look very cool indeed. Now get those lights off Gammaboi and paint the wheels STAT.

When the Camaro goes ones day .... 996 is on my list to replace it ... probably an import race/rally rego car tho

Regarding the Shannons q's, i can help.

Cars less than 30 years old and used regularly are more exy as they are a higher risk, even if the value is the same as a classic car. Believe it or not, there are way more rating factors than just age and a value.

If its over 30 years old, and not used much, its reasonably inexpensive. You also retain salvage rights in the event of a total loss.

Club Rego is a separate category and is cheaper again, but you must abide by your states club rego rules to make sure you have cover in place, i have seen claims declined for people who use the car as they see fit rather than on club runs etc.

All values are agreed Stix, not market.

                        N that.

                        Chip
Chip, when you know the state registrar, signs off on club plates without looking at the car ... have own car club ... always on a maintenance run .... never got pulled over in the Camaro on H plates ... $94 rego/ctp per year

                        5000 miles in 3 months.

Not so easy with blower ... even though its a period mod .. so full rego

A guest at my wedding last night offered me a drive of his 700HP 997 Turbo but since I was pretty cut and we were downtown Chicago I regretfully declined. Got to sit in driver's seat and start/rev the engine which was also technically illegal I guess. Trying to meet him again this week for a drive!

Just thought id brag about that here.
