I wonder is they will fix that Turbo R. It's worth cubic bucks.

Looks pretty hammered. You'd need a new chassis which defeats the purpose I'd say.
It's a trio of strength, repair-ability and drag.Originally posted by Shitbreak View PostGuard vents look fucking nuts, but as spiller said, I'd be surprised if they make production.
Can anyone explain to me what the reasoning is behind the square/flat edge on the sides of the front guard (where it ends right over the wheels)? I see this all the time in modern cars. Is it a result of a certain manufacturing process? Some cars have it more than others. Its ugly as all fuck.

I've not really dug into it. There is prolly a thread on the bird but ICBF looking.
BLO, RUF would fix it. 993 turbos are worth bucks alone. Add a RUF build and well you get the picture. As a side note RUF have been buying back there old intercoolers for stupid money over the last few years to put on to customer restoration work. The company that made them went belly up years ago and the demand for legit non repo parts is high.Originally posted by SI just want to apologise for some of my shit talking back around page 5.

and yeah i'd 99% guarantee with current prices someone would rebuild that. Have you contacted them about the wheels yet (if they don't rebuild) uncle?

Of course, but it'll always be a write-off though, and never the original car that it was destined to be from factory. Which on a race car is kind of a given, but on a road car, to me it will never be the same no matter how sought after. Like that wrecked F40 - an easy $300,000 minimum under price.

they won't write it off, it's worth too much. It'll probably go back to Porsche Classic or Ruf and they'll re-manufacture it (and document it) and the value will be close to unaffected.
base 993 turbos are up around $150-$200k USD, this one is a bit of a special case. that's assuming it's a real S or a real Ruf Turbo R
that wrecked F40 that Gas Monkey Garage sold for $675k?
