To be honest I'm not keen on the targa. It's been parked up for 2 years and cause I'm not one to touch other people's stuff I just sneaked peeks under the cover for half a year. Just assumed it was a tin top. Didn't know who's it was until the old guy funnily enough approached me about my car saying he loved it. Once I'd met him and discussed I had a proper look. When the cover came off and it was a targa my heart sank. Went upstairs and my nopics saw me and actually asked what's wrong, what happened. You know how you grow an attachment to something over time. I'd had so many visions of me buzzing round Mt Nebo in it.

The roofline is the prettiest part about these, so for me this is like a woman who's had a mastectomy.

That's not a massive amount of money for OEM Porsche.
A non OEM hard top for a NA Mx5 is around $800 AFAIK.

Reckon the Targa thing is just an attitude or perspective. Looking through nostalgic glasses they're ok. Agree with Cal on the sans wing though.
They're a sports car more in the Speedster/MG vein.
