lol. Top marks for Porsche in finding a niche so very small, yet so lucrative.

Wheel/car combos don't get much better IMHO.
        Except maybe with gold centers.....

Much prefer the 19" wheels over the standard 20/21" combo.

              Wouldn't be that small surely?

Plenty of blokes out there that'd want a Sunday morning weapon for the twisties but give no fucks for track optimized aero and PDK

It's classic Porsche Karno model stuff. They know there is a big market but it's easier to build fewer cars and charge more for less than to build a lot of cars and not charge as much.

                    Ain't that the truth.

Indeed there's lots in the niche you're describing. The niche porsche is playing in however also includes the bit where you can pay 140k+ pounds (ballpark of 450K in aus I'd guess) for that car, that reduces the size of the niche quite a bit. My wag is that the blokes you're talking about will be 25% of buyers and the actual buyers will be a completely different group who have very little interest in how the car drives at all.

The 911R sounds like a really good thing. 500bhp. 1250 odd kg.

I thought they were slicks for a second too!

The only Porsche niche is the one with a big bank account and a bigger garage :D

They were all sold before they even announced it.

Especially when you pretty much have to have bought a 918 to be able to buy one of these.
