Wonder if Ford Oz will factory back the Mountune MP350 package like Europe?

Cheaper than a similarly specced STI/Evo and will have shitload better resale.
You're joking right? Resale will be shithouse. It's a FORD. Maybe a big maybe only due to limited numbers it might do a little better, but expect resale to be no different (percentage wise) than the xr5

am i wrong in thinking the limited edition Frauds sell quite well and hold resale? no?

Do they still have Volvo badges on the engine like the XR5? If so, they should take $10k off for that...

Looks like fun if you only drive on dry, bitumen roads and are happy to pay $20k more than it's worth.

                    I'd like one.
Our current 3 month old XR5 goes well.
But for 15k, you could put everything the RS has over the XR5 and still come out smiling.

In the end, its all about badge cred and only 3 doors.

Yep, same as how an MR2 is identical to an Elise.

                        Fixed.
                        You forget it's a Ford ...

Actually, has anyone like Cosworth had anything to do with it? A Cosworth badge on it would assist with resale value, IMHO.

If they're only importing 300 RS's, and as long as you don't buy that deity-awful toxic green colour (unless of course the swedes suddenly decide Ford is as worthy a brand as Subaru), I reckon that in the long run the RS would cost you less.

I have noticed the Potato Futures values sliding slowly on, as the news-man says every day, Germany's Dacks.

Seems to be a little late though down here isn't it? New model will be out 2011.. The 1.6L EcoBoost that is coming in the new models should be good for some cheap thrills with the usual upgrades. It won't be 224kw, but it won't cost $60k either.

I was thinking that, too. Seems a bit odd, and I think that could be a major contributor to a FailStatus. My potentially-hazy memory is that the full-noise matte-black limited-edition version for SDM(*) we saw referenced in the last month or so was a Last Hurrah so it'd check-out on a high note.

300 smells a bit like "ah crap, we've got a few sitting around unsold, where do we dump 'em?" ...

Toyota vs Lotus / Mazda vs Ford.

Lotus and Mazda thanks. I associate Fords with AU falcons and BBQ grills.

They should be sticking cosworth badges on this.
