Guaranteed this will be FWD. What RWD chassis do Fiat make?

Also by the end of the 2L touring car era they were cutting the front arches pretty high to get the ride height as low as possible and still have reasonable steering lock, I guess that also contributed to the "any car can look good with a low bonnet" idea:

Whilst I want to agree, the size of that rear tyre gives a bit of a hint...

"Like the original, plans called for the Fenomenon Stratos revival to rely on Ferrari power, albeit with two extra cylinders. At the time, it was understood that the mid-mounted V8 from the 360 Scuderia would find its way into the engine bay, although we have no indication as to what's powering the car in the photos."

What would something like that cost? Where did the original beast fit in re: pricing?

              Fiat own Ferrari.

"Based on the structure and running gear of the Ferrari F430 Challenge Cup car, this remake is believed to have been funded by a car enthusiast industrialist for his sole use, although it’s possible that it could be produced in very small numbers for other customers."

There is one in the works, rumoured to be developed for the new Alfa Spider.

Unfortunately, word has it, the concept rusted out before the first lap was over so no idea of performance.

I like it, but this retro revival thing is starting to wear a bit thin. Are car designers really finding it that hard to come up with new stuff that they have to re-make every half decent car from 40 years ago? If this gets any more main stream the next Mondeo will just be a stylised Mk4 Cortina.

That's right, because it is such a different concept to 128-X19, Beta-Monte Carlo etc.
