    The very best of customers

Aren't standard 308 blocks asking silly money these days too?

Nah, a virgin bore turbo pattern 5L block goes for $400-$600, tri pattern block are more as they are getting thin on the ground, typically $600-$800 for a virgin, less for one .020 or .030 over.

Tried the american Mustang and Windsor forums and shit? Usually a second hand one floating around there.

That's the way I was going to go before my factory roller block lost its shit on me.

Would be great if we get to see a build thread for this engine! Or will it be under wraps?

TK: what was the difference between the standard Holden blocks, and the HP blocks? I was told that my old one was a HP block, and the numbers on the side started with 308HP etc. Mine was 60 thou over, and i never had cooling issues excepting for repeated full throttle full rev situations.... was it something to do with the higher nickel content?

            ps sorry for thread highjack

Not sure on the HP blocks - I've never seen one!

Apparently higher nickel content, but other than that NFI!

Will do, but without cam/comp etc specs, it's a competitive class, will be mixing it up with the likes of that orange munro etc.

There's a bloke on fordforums CAT600 who bought that Herrods blown T3 TS50. It had an R302 block. IIRC the block needed lots of work, and instead of fixing the car he tried to sell it all off in pieces. Not sure if he still has the block or if its too fucked to work with but maybe worth a look.

He sold the block, it was sleeved anyway.

I bought the car and original motor

TK doesn't have the phrase "too fucked to work with" in his vocabulary.
