throw an 80mm on it and a 100shot matt and come racing, blow the stocker and put a big motor in it, you know you will have more fun.Originally posted by yojimbo View PostEd's right, these are no budget build.
I have Haltech e11v2 piggy backed to run what it needs. All other factory ecu's are in place and running.
Stock fuel system is a major headfuck - fuel reg is in tank with a high pressure lines to the rail, no return.
Stock is300 mounts will get you out of trouble, but they are $$$. I have an aristo motor with a notched sump.
Ive given up counting what Ive spent, but I do love it.
They are a very cool thing once running well, I dont mean to brag but I think mine might be one of the more powerful AND the MOST RELIABLE ones I have seen. Everyone else seems to have heat / cooling / electrical / half assed mods trouble, and spends a lot of time in the workshop. I drive mine a couple of times a week to work or the gym, with only a quick prep for trackdays etc. Its done over 10,000k's with over 500rwhp with nothing more than basic maintenance on a stock unopened motor. Its all coming apart for check up this summer (head service, clutch rebuild, rings / bearings, inspection etc).
Started out stealth but it has become less so, twin plate clutch and 3.5 inch exhaust give it away as soon as you can hear it, barking and rattling.

Tim, regardless of how you choose to go about it, 2JZ & IS is awesome. I remember a video from years ago of a black 1JZ IS drifting, anyone here got it / remember it? Ever since then I've loved the idea.
I'm actually looking at 2JZ stuff myself, just waiting to see if I can get it approved in my vehicle of choice.Originally posted by 350stato100% agree with Shifty

Bump - The 550cc injectors spoken of throughout this thread, are we talking the USD supra injectors, and if so, do you need to run a resistor pack or something with standard computer.
I have my bonus and I'm thinking GT3788R or the like but the stock computer needs to stay. Already has good exhaust, shift kit, SAFC and Apexi AVCR, greddy front mount.
I'm also thinking of pulling the head to do the valve stem seals and possibly some BC 264 cams??? Or is that just money I should put towards the turbo?Mad Cunt

Correct, dont waste your time, go straight to 800cc.The 550cc injectors spoken of throughout this thread, are we talking the USD supra injectors, and if so, do you need to run a resistor pack or something with standard computer.
Cams I ran GSC S2, sounded awesome! But note Cams are not really needed, 400rwkw on Stock cams is fineOriginally posted by The Property Gurudon't haemophrodites generally have tiny wangs?A80 SupraOriginally posted by oxyNo, that's asians

Get a top feed rail kit and use some bosch 550s. The US injectors are ancient and hard to get and require a resistor pack. Sards are expensive and don't start when they get hot for some reason.
Don't do cams if you want to keep std ecu, it is map sensed and the cams will fuck it up royally down low.David Fraser - Automotive Historian!

USDM injectors are good if you can get them cheap, I got a set for $200 posted but they have gone missing in sydney customs......550's will do 320rwkw no dramas and the stock 440's will just do 300rwkw safely.
If you have some money to spend or want big power, top feed conversion with ID1000's is the go

And obviously turbo/manifold, sort exhaust and i/c hot pipe, 'tune' safc....Mad Cunt

If you pick Bosch EV14 standards (48mm) Thank me later....

I've picked them up since August but will finally instal and get tuned for them in Jan.
What are USDM 550s? Surely they'd have different latencies?
