Towing capacity for a BA/BF non turbo ute is 2300 kg for auto, 1600kg for manual. The XR turbo utes were all 1600kg towing capacity.Comment

One of my earliest memories was going on a caravan trip with my family, it was a small pop-top caravan being towed by an early 80's Mazda 323 wagon with the 1.4L engine. Surprisingly it did the job, I can't imagine it was very rapid doing it though!

Fucks me why/how they get away with it, in saying that I saw a scrappy get royally raped the other day by the NHVR literally 100meters from the metal recycling yard. OI' mate had an EAish wagon with a Corolla sedan on it's roof on the tray of his little Izusu flat top tied on with fucking Testra rope and an Urvan and SB Combo with assorted shit tied onto the top on a tandem axle trailer. I saw the whole lot in the metal yard so maybe the truck was on the way to be scrapped as well.
