    agreed.
.... because every driver experiences the destructive potential of the effortless surge of power available through the smallest of body movements.

It's a Falcon Ute towing that, whilst maybe not legal, it's well within the capabilities of such a fine automobile....

not sure what the towing capacity is - but if you were guessing at 2.5T - it would be over - but not like crazy over? or is the towing capacity only like 1700kg?
This is a post i wrote by mistake, which is nice...

Towing capacity for a BA/BF non turbo ute is 2300 kg for auto, 1600kg for manual. The XR turbo utes were all 1600kg towing capacity.

That must be WA. Notice the cops didn't fine him for overloading. It isn't policed here. I've seen a bubble 121 pull a small caravan. Cops gave no fuck as he wasn't speeding.

You'd be surprised how light some small caravans are. That said, even if it's legal you'd die of old age trying to get anywhere.

One of my earliest memories was going on a caravan trip with my family, it was a small pop-top caravan being towed by an early 80's Mazda 323 wagon with the 1.4L engine. Surprisingly it did the job, I can't imagine it was very rapid doing it though!

Still see an EJ Holden with a vintage caravan at car shows here.
Those things only have a claimed 75hp from the old grey motor.
Lots of minis & mokes including a G13b powered Sports Sedan, a couple of Swift Gtis, a Goggomobil, Porsche 928S, Polo Gti, BMW 540i, a WRX and a few others.

                        Why always over the roof?

                        I don't get it.

Fucks me why/how they get away with it, in saying that I saw a scrappy get royally raped the other day by the NHVR literally 100meters from the metal recycling yard. OI' mate had an EAish wagon with a Corolla sedan on it's roof on the tray of his little Izusu flat top tied on with fucking Testra rope and an Urvan and SB Combo with assorted shit tied onto the top on a tandem axle trailer. I saw the whole lot in the metal yard so maybe the truck was on the way to be scrapped as well.
And one of our guys got stopped because he hadn't crossed the 10mm chains on the rear of a 4tonne rubber tyred machine, only need to cross with metal on metal.

That was an excuse to pull them over to have a chat, make sure he wasn't wired/drunk/tired/had a 35" TV on the dash board etc.

Lol, they usually use the excuse the day ends in the letter Y.

And it's a 50" TV, gotta keep up with the T9oh guys.
