Coyote comp in the US is 11:1 throw a snail on the side 6-psi will net u around 520rwhp. there is already upgraded rods, pistons and their is even a stroker crank coming very shortly. will increase it to around 5.3L the modulars love the stroker cranks im guessing the Coyote would be the same. the modulars/coyotes love boost, the fucked up thing is that Aussie's cant make a good turbo kit for these modular type engines. i have spoken with a couple guys in the US they may be looking at sending a couple boys down getting there hands on an FG and doing a kit.
It's more that most Aussie wouldn't bother as if you want a modified fast falcon/commodore you'd buy an XR6T Where it'll make 460+rwhp with minor modes. Saves having to worry about reinventing the wheel, especially with the pipe cleaner rods they run.
Coyote thing looks like that might change though. The numbers are certainly looking very very good.

i was just thinking, the fucked up thing is we had an awesome engine in the Ford 4.6/5.4 modular and no cunt has done anything about it here in Australia they have been proven in the US. and the same thing is going to happen to a Coyote a great base engine and no cunt wants to show it's potential. u have the likes of Dale, Steve Petrovski out running super quick numbers with a LS engine where the fuck are all the Ford guys.
I think you might be missing the point a little. I have no doubt that the Ford modular is a good unit, but the main thing here is that the LS motor is really only $5k or so from running high 11's in a full weight grocery getter. That's why they are so popular. For relatively mild mods in a street car that can not be beaten. I'd rather only have to replace one cam than four.
As you full well know, it's a very different kettle of fish when you're talking a dedicated drag car where block strength and head flow are a greater priority than bang for buck.
Paulie are you buying one of the crate coyotes available through FRPP or just going to buy a GT/GS?
