I just got back from test driving one of these, to be honest I am a little underwhelmed. It didn't sound like the one in the video, and it didn't really move like I expected it to. To be fair I did have the salesman sitting next to me and he was a little anxious about me getting up it, but hopping back in my car I didn't feel like I'd lost much grunt at all.

It cruises very quietly, you don't hear a bit of road noise. Open the throttle though and the whine is instant.

The interior doesn't feel as good quality as the HSV, but the auto did feel good. They didn't have a manual available to test. They want $85k for GT on the road with leather, sat nav, floor mats and tint. Not convinced

Yeah I got say, there is NO way the car in that road test was completely standard, it was definitely missing a muffler or two, wouldnt surprised if they threw in the hero tune too while they were at it.
Would be fantastic if cars came from the factory sounding like that, but will never happen.

theres fuck all difference between quality on the falcon and commodore interiors, no matter what either sides fanbois say, they are both average, BUT never as bad as either side say about the other.

they are really no different to any other new car ive driven lately, even my mates as new mps 6 mazda has had the door handles ripped off its door panels, and the interior isnt any better than a falcodore, AND it was 55k new. i can say they sure are put together a LOT better than my 75 chrysler... panel gaps like the grand canyon, crooked chromework, paint dags, something under the carpet, all from new...
