If the TP was insured (3rd party property or full comp) then yes there insurer should be covering it.

'Most' Insurers have automatic trailer cover but only up to a certain amount (Shannons is $750) but with conditions which you need to read your PDS to see what the are.

i dont get the issue, cunt ran up the back of yor trailer and fucked your car too, theyre at fault and have damaged your shit, why wouldnt they end up paying for the trailer?

I got t-boned once when i was younger and had no insurance, the cockhead said it was somehow my fault and his insurance started demanding i pay so I counter sued them and got them to pay me the fuckers!
